More Footage Revealed on ‘Hobbit’ Comic-Con Vlog

Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit director Peter Jackson has released a new installment of his “production diary” video blog.

The video shows The Hobbit team visiting fanboy-mecca Comic-Con, but more importantly for Hobbit fans, there’s some tantalising behind the scenes footage. Of course, green screens feature heavily, but you can catch a glimpse of some of the set designs (the Hobbit Holes look great), as well as some brief hellos from the cast playing the Dwarfs. Peter Jackson even gets his hands dirty – adding the finishing touches to the set of what looks like a very gloomy forest indeed.

It’s a nice teaser for the film, which is expected to be released this December. Word of warning: Martin Freeman’s outfit at Comic Con may upset you. If you have an aversion to actors dressing like they’ve had a catastrophic mid life crisis, you may want to skip the video ahead a little bit…
