If you thought Unknown was a sequel to Taken – and you would have been forgiven for thinking so – you were wrong, because Liam Neeson is coming back in 2012 in the sequel proper.
Now confirmed as director is Oliver Megaton of Transporter 3 fame, and the story, as with the first film is being written by Luc Besson.
Also returning will be Maggie Grace as Neeson’s daughter who will, presumably, find herself in another terrible situation and require everybody’s favourite Irish Jedi to rush in and save her.
Mercifully, Besson has said that they won’t be a Taken 3. But in all honesty, we’re not sure if we believe him or not.
