New Cast for Mr Selfridge

Mr Selfridge

Ten new episodes of ITV’s lavish period drama Mr Selfridge, starring Emmy award-winning American actor, Jeremy Piven, will start filming in London this week.

The drama is inspired by the life of charismatic American entrepreneur, Harry Gordon Selfridge, whose business in London’s Oxford Street has become a much-loved institution.

This new series is the third instalment in the fascinating rise and fall of this colourful but troubled man and picks up in 1919 just after the end of World War I.

Zoë Wanamaker (My Family) joins the series cast to play trouble-making Russian Princess, Marie de Bolotoff. Though the shadow of World War I hangs over every-one, the first episode opens with the joyous occasion of a wedding. Harry’s eldest daughter, Rosalie, marries Princess Marie’s handsome son Serge, played by Leon Ockenden (Waterloo Road).

Rosalie Selfridge will be played by Kara Tointon (EastEnders) and Kara’s real-life sister, Hannah Tointon, plays her rebellious sister, Violette, in a move that sees the sisters acting together for the first time.

Sacha Parkinson (Coronation Street) also joins the cast to play Kitty Hawkins’ ambitious younger sister, along with Kelly Adams (Bluestone 42) who plays Harry’s new love interest, Nancy Webb.
