Despite the media’s current obsession with everything 3D, those amongst you who were hoping to be welcomed into a 3D version of Westminster Abbey come royal wedding day will be sorely disappointed after the palace confirmed that they will not be broadcasting the ceremony in all the dimensions.
The decision was taken up with the royal couple themselves and Westminster Abbey officials, with William’s private secretary Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton (and owner of the universe’s poshest name) explaining that they’d rather focus upon the optimal 2D, radio, photographic and online coverage of the day.
We certainly can’t say we blame them. After all, 3D has annoyed the s**t out of most people since James Cameron invented it last year.
The only other alternative we can suggest is to break your way into the wedding and get the actual real world 3D experience. Hire yourself a lawyer beforehand though…
