Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton will not be returning as Lucas and Peyton in One Tree Hill, it has been announced.
Previously it was thought that the pair would make a comeback, if only for one episode, but executive producer Mark Schwahn has told TV Line that this will not happen.
âItâs not going to happen. We wonât be seeing them this year,â? he said. âQuite frankly, we just couldnât make a deal.â?
âHilarie now has a child and a family and sheâs doing some nice work [on White Collar]. Chad was working on a movie down in Louisiana and there were some dates we were trying to work around, but itâs tricky when you try to line up all those stars sometimes.â?
âEverybody had the best intentions, but at the end of the day it just didnât work out.â?
