One Direction “Amazed” By TV Show Success

"Shall I wear or jumper or...NOTHING AT ALL?"

The One Direction boys have spoken (squeaked?) about their joy at landing a new TV show on Nickelodeon.

The show comes as the British boy band proceed with their campaign to conquer the hearts of US teenagers.

Liam tweeted: “How lucky I am its been so amazing being in 1D and its all thanks to you guys so thank you so much 🙂 lots of love from … Me :).â€?

Speaking of their overnight success to The Sun, Malik admitted: “We thought it could be the same few hundred people tweeting us over and over again.”

He added: “Until we got to America, we didn’t realise how crazy it was.”

Louis Tomlinson, 20, Zayn Malik, 19, plus Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Liam Payne, all 18, made their debut on the small screen last month when they landed a guest role on hit show iCarly.

Their success on-screen, combined with the popularity of tour Big Time Rush, will no doubt have contributed to the US network’s decision to take the boys on.

The children’s TV channel tweeted: “The rumours are true, our live-action slate does include a development project for @onedirection. Welcome to the family!â€?

The lads are already booked for the Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards later this month.
