Partridge’s ‘Mid-Morning Matters’ Picked Up By Sky?

A-ha! Partridge is set to make a small screen comeback.

Reports have emerged that Sky Atlantic will be buying up Steve Coogan’s latest outing as the chat show host from hell for a series to be broadcast next year.

Mid Morning Matters was originally aired as a series of webisodes for the Fosters Funny channel on YouTube but now looks set to grace screens on both sides of the Atlantic. The comedian is apparently also in talks with the channel about a number of “non-Partridge projects.â€?

Things seem to be picking up for the sombre Steve audiences were exposed to in BBC2’s The Trip. Earlier this year there were even reports that an Alan film is in the offing.

Speaking at the Tribeca Film Festival in April, Coogan said: “We left it behind for a while, but we came back to it because we got a few ideas. We’re writing it right now, going to shoot it next year. Don’t know who will direct it.”

Fingers crossed Alan will “bounce backâ€? with more success in Hollywood than when he was a caravan-bound, ex chat show host.
