Pegg, Frost & Wright’s The World’s End Gets A Start Date

Hoot for joy fanboys and girls as the third part of the Edgar Wright, Simon Pegg and Nick Frost’s Cornetto Trilogy has finally been given a start date.  The last in the trilogy, a follow up to Shaun Of The Dead and Hot Fuzz provisionally entitled The World’s End, will start shooting in September.

Deadline brought us the news, but they do have the disclaimer that it’s not been official given the green light from Universal.  We can’t really see it not happening though given the success of the previous two films, so we should see The World’s End by 2013.   Take that Mayan Apocalypse!

With the announcement comes the plot which sees give childhood friends reuuniting after 20 years because one of them, 40-year-old Gary King, is intent on dragging his reluctant mates on a nostalgic pub crawl around their home town which culminated at a pub called The World’s End.  Camden Town perhaps?  Anyway, obviously there’s going to be more to it than a glorified piss up, as eventually the five realise that the whole future of humanity is at stake…
