Warner Bros, clearly desperate for more box office gold as the Potter series winds to a close this summer have handed David Heyman, the producer behind all seven of the Harry Potter films (who is no doubt backstroking through a lake of gold as we speak) the rights to Eli Anderson’s French teen series Oscar Pill.
It follows the titular teen Oscar as he utilises his ability to jump between living organisms on a journey between five worlds of the human body as he seeks to destroy all manner of diseases. It wouldn’t be a teen drama without some parental angst though would it? Oscar’s comes in the form of his father, who popped his clogs in mysterious circumstances.
There are five books in the series, so Warners are obviously expecting big things. No director slated for this one yet, but we’ll keep you posted.
