Cary Elwes has joined the cast of new ABC comedy, Prairie Dogs.
The Princess Bride actor is set to play Rams, an eccentric designer type âwho wears turtlenecks and kiltsâ?, in the pilot which will screen later this year.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the show is about office drone Neil (Kal Penn) who seizes a bizarre opportunity when he becomes the victim of identity theft.
Identity theft is usually no picnic, but when Neilâs life improves as a result of the crime, he hires the criminal to better his life for good.
Elwes, who played the dashing Westley in the 1987 fantasy spoof, plays the mysterious head of the design department in the company where Pennâs character works.
Charlotte Newhouse, a former member of LA comedy troupe The Groundlings, was recently cast in Prairie Dogs as Neil’s fun-loving colleague.
The pilot will also star Dayo Okeniyi (The Hunger Games) and Michaela Watkins (Wanderlust).
