Prisoners Wives proved to be one of the surprise drama hits of the year so far when it debuted in January, so we’re as excited as lag on the morning of a conjugal visit to hear that there’s a second (slightly shorter) series in the works.
Four hour-long episodes are being lined up for 2013 and the stars of the first run are expected to return.
Details are rather scarce at this stage, yet Polly Walker (who stole the show as the wife of Ian St Glen’s career criminal) will definitely return.
“I’m excited to be writing a second series” show creator Julie Gearey told Radio Times. “I’m bursting at the seams with new stories to tell.”
