Richard Ayoade Confirmed For Neighborhood Watch

Richard Ayoade is the latest cast member to be confirmed for Ben Stiller’s forthcoming comedy Neighborhood Watch.

The film will see Stiller as a man who moves from the city to the suburbs and initially worries that he’ll miss the fast pace of metropolitan life.

He joins up with the local neighbourhood watch after first being reassured that it’s simply a way for the locals to escape the drudgery of their family lives but he’s quickly drawn into a huge conspiracy.

Ayoade has been cast as Jamarcus, a recent divorcee. He joins a cast that already includes Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill and Rosemarie DeWitt.

This could be Ayoade’s big leap to the big screen. He’s had a few small roles in Bunny And The Bull and Festival but nothing major and so far he’s best known for his small screen acting presence in shows like The IT Crowd, The Mighty Boosh and Nathan Barley. He made waves earlier this year with his directorial debut Submarine which is one of the films of the year.

Shooting begins later this month with The Lonely Island’s Akiva Schaffer behind the camera.
