Richard Osman’s BBC Two show House of Games will be returning for a new series.
The first series, which features celebrity guests competing against each other over the course of a week for show-themed prizes, launched with the highest ratings for a new quiz in its daytime slot. The contests play a range of different games including “Broken Karaoke”, where they have to guess the song using only the first letters of every lyric; “Where is Kazakhstan?”, where they are given a geographic question and have to indicate the correct answer on a map; and “Answer Smash”, where they are given two questions and they have to join the answers together.
The host said: “The reaction to House of Games has truly been amazing, and I’m so glad we can finally let people know that we’re coming back for more! I can promise lots more ‘Answer Smash’ and ‘Broken Karaoke’, lots more prize teasmaids and driving gloves, and lots of brilliant new games and contestants. I can’t wait to get started.”
The new series will last for 50 episodes (10 weeks) and will be shown in the new year.
