Sacha Baron Cohen is the latest star set to join the cast of Tarantino’s upcoming Western Django Unchained.
For those of you who don’t already know, the spaghetti western features a ridiculously stacked cast including Jamie Foxx, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, Cristoph Waltz, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Samuel L Jackson and Kurt Russell.
The title character, played by Foxx, is a slave turned bounty hunter on a quest to free his wife (Washington) from the clutches of an evil slaveholder (DiCaprio). Cohen will be taking on the role of Scotty, a gambler who buys Django’s wife. Although it’s a small part, Da Ali G Show star was Tarantino’s number one choice from the beginning.
Shooting for Django Unchained is scheduled to start in January.
