The Sheffield-born actor made his name in Sharpe, but has since appeared in a number of blockbuster movies, including Lord of the Rings.
“I would love to pop up in Corrie if they find me the right character. But maybe one that doesn’t stay too long,” Bean told The Daily Star.
His characters usually meet quite sticky ends (‘One Sean Bean dies every 1.24 Years apparently’) so we doubt that he could survive longer than a fortnight in Weatherfield.
But this isn’t the first time that Bean has made eyes at the ITV show. Back in 2010 he said said it was his “favourite soap”, adding: “They haven’t contacted me or my agent about it. So it’s over to them.”
Corrie has a long history of star cameos; including Sir Ian McKellan and Pater Kay, so let’s hope Sean Bean makes it on to the cobbles too.
