Star Wars TV Series: Juicy Details Released

The live action TV series that George Lucas has been plotting now has a working title. Say hello to Star Wars: Underworld, the latest incarnation of the franchise.

It has been about seven years (I know!) since the last big screen outing with the bedraggled space gang and it looks unlikely that another film will go ahead.

The plan currently seems to be for Lucas to fund the production of the show himself while it is still of dubious popularity. Then if/when it is a smash hit, he should have no trouble passing it on.

Producer Rick McCallum has revealed one or two details about where they are with the series right now including one very important confirmation that it is still going ahead.

He’s also confirmed that the series will fill in the gaps between Revenge Of The Sith and A New Hope.

And fear not, Star Wars fans, there seems to be plenty of meat left to fillout a series. An incredible 50 one-hour long episodes have been written for the show already.

McCallum added: “Each one hour episode is bigger than any of the prequels were.”

As is usually the case with these things, the budget is apparently in a spot of bother but it certainly seems as if things are moving in the right direction.

No expected launch date yet but watch this SPACE….sorry.
