Simon Cowell’s TV business Syco looks set to work with ITV’s in-house production division to create a brand new quiz show, with the working title Red Or Black.
The Guardian reports that, despite the gambling reference of the title, the show’s format will have more to do with chance than roulette. ITV are currently battling to keep Si-Co himself on board for this year’s X Factor, as he prepares to bring the show to talent-contest-starved fans in the US.
A source told the paper that Red Or Black is “highly likely” to be comissioned for ITV1’s autumn schedule.
If the show is a success, we expect a gold-plated statue of Cowell to appear in ITV’s lobby sometime before Christmas.
