The Apprentice To Return In May… But With No Baggs Type Contestents?

Fans of ‘The Man, The Brand’ Stuart Baggs beware: the new series of The Apprentice may well be upon us sooner than you can say, “I have to reign in my extreme masculinity on this taskâ€?, but sadly the new contestants are not set to be of Baggs’ calibre.

According to The Apprentice – You’re Fired! host Dara O’Briain, the type of candidate the show will attract will be different, due to the change of rules in the competition. Candidates will now compete for a cash prize instead of a job with Lord Sugar.

He said, “I’m told the candidates are different and I’ve taken that to mean there’s no Stuart Baggs. I think it means they’re established business people, not people trying to learn the trade.â€?

“You’ll still find people making an a*** of things. It’s no bad thing for it to go in a different direction.”

The series was delayed until October last year so as not to clash with the General Election, but returns to our screens this year in May.
