US drama The Kennedys based – unsurprisingly – on the famous American family, will air in the UK on the History channel from Thursday April 7, say Sky.
Starring Greg Kinnear as John F. Kennedy, Katie Holmes as Jackie, Barry Pepper as Robert and Tom Wilkinson as Joseph Kennedy Senior, the series follows the rise of JFK to his assassination in Dealey Plaza.
Primarily written by Steve Kronish, who previously worked on 24, the series will consist of 4 2-hour films covering the political crises and personal affairs of the family, featuring the Bay of Pigs invasion and the Cuban Missile Crisis alongside fraternal rivalries and mob links.
