The Rock For Monster Hunter’s Survival Guide

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson already has his fingers in many a pie but he has now thrust a further digit into a comic book project produced by Simon Kinberg (Sherlock Holmes, Mr and Mrs Smith).

Despite having a busy schedule and an already bulging bag full of likely future projects, Dwayne Johnson has now confirmed that he is attached to the Monster Hunter’s Survival Guide, a live action adventure film based on the comic book miniseries by John Paul Russ.

Dwayne will no doubt be doing what an ex pro-wrestler does best when he assumes his new role: laying the smack down, fighting baddies and being macho.

Right now, the movie version is at a very early stage, with no writers or director attached but with Kinberg currently in charge, the project looks promising.
“The Rock” will also be bringing audiences further pain when he appears in Journey 2: The Mysterious Island and G.I. Joe 2: Retaliation in 2012.

And don’t forget his wrestling comeback.
