The Voice Suffering “Teething Problems” Says BBC1 Controller

BBC1 Controller Danny Cohen has admitted that the live episodes of The Voice might need to be tweaked next year, but defended the show as a success nevertheless.

“We’ve had a few teething problems with the live shows,” The Sun quotes him as saying. “We’ll take away a few things from the live shows to tinker with for series two.”

“We’ll look at the end of the series but I think we’re in a good place and I don’t imagine mega-changes for series two,” said Cohen after explaining that he’d like to keep all four judges on next year.

These comments come on the eve of the show’s grand final and after ratings slumped to 5 million viewers last week, after a high-water mark of 12 million in late April.
