Just 17 days to go before the launch of BBC1’s talent show hunt extravaganza, The Voice, and the Beeb have released a tasty teaser trailer to whet our appetites.
The trailer takes us back stage with the four big name coaches Jessie J, Tom Jones, Danny O’Donoghue and Will.i.am as they prepare to hear Joe/Josephine Public singing their hearts out for approval.
Four weeks of “blind” auditions for wannabe popstars will see the four music giants going head to head in a battle to recruit a killer team of singers.
It is rumoured that, in an X Factor stylee, the contestants will then go head to head in a series of live showdowns.
The format has been translated for UK screens from the American format which features Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton on its coaching panel and will debut on TV screens on 24 March.
Tom “Sexbomb” Jones has already been making waves by denouncing the talent less judges on other music reality shows and talking up The Voice as “exciting, competitive and compelling television because itâs all about talentâ?.
He added: âSome of their judges arenât even singers and wouldnât be able to sing a note, so what do they know? Every time I see one of these shows I think half the decisions are wrong and it really frustrates me.
âSome of the judges donât have the experience to be on talent shows â if youâve only been in the industry two minutes, how can you offer advice?
âI have the experience and I listen to all sorts of music, so the advice I give will be valuable.â?
