Jessie J has revealed that she will be âthe evil oneâ? on the panel of new BBC talent show, The Voice.
The Do It Like A Dude singer has admitted to having made acts cry in the pre-recorded audition rounds of the talent show, which will hit screens on March 24.
And she intends to keep on dishing out plenty of âtough loveâ?.
âI am quite hard core on them. I have been told that Iâm the one who literally put them through boot campâ?, she said speaking at a launch do for the show last month. âCrying is good, I think you should embrace crying. This isnât a walk in the park now.â?
Joining her on the panel will be Tom Jones, will.i.am and The Script frontman, Danny OâDonoghue.
Each of the four coaches have been busy selecting ten contestants ready for the live show rounds which will screen after four weeks of auditions.
Speaking at the launch of the show last month, the 23-year-old singer spoke of her group of Jessie J wannabes.
âSo many people had come from small towns where theyâd just sung to their mum and dad and their best friends that were always going to tell them how great they were.
âAnd then theyâre standing in front of someone like me whoâs about technique and vocals and breathing and all these things theyâd never thought aboutâ¦.and they were a bit overwhelmed.
âBut you know whatâ?, she added, âthe next day theyâd come back and say âthank you for the tough loveâ?â?.
It took Ms J seven years of hard graft before finally securing the deal which would make her a star, and she is keen to find the same dedication from her troupe of fledgling stars.
“I still train every day and I want to find someone who wants it just as much”, she said.
