“Top Gun Sequel? We’re Working On It” Says Cruise

Tom Cruise could be gearing up to take your breath away once again (…sorry), with a possible sequel to Top Gun. Twenty five years after the original movie, the actor has commented on his desire to work with the film’s producers Tony Scott and Jerry Bruckheimer.

“We’re working on it. I hope we can figure this out to go do it again” he teased. “If we can find a story that we all want to do, we all want to make a film that is in the same kind of tone as the other one and shoot it in the same way as we shot Top Gun”.

Chances are he may be eager to don the uniform for a second time, as he went on to say: “I’d love to fly those airplanes. I want to get back in those airplanes. They’re fantastic, fantastic planes so you know, we’re talking about it actually, we’re in talks. We don’t have the script yet but we’re talking about it.”

They’re talking about it alright! Jeez!

The pint-sized actor is due to turn fifty next July; perhaps the revival of one of his most famous action-movie roles is a chance for him to recapture his glory days.
