Back in January, the bespectacled comedian wrote on his blog: âThe New (and , it seems last) series of TV Burp starts up on the 4th Feb and finishes 8 shows later at the end of March in a huge finale â SO MAKE THE MOST OF IT !!!â?
He later said that the workload associated with the show had prompted his decision to refuse a rumoured £4million pay check promised by ITV1.
But according to reports by The Sun today, Hill has now agreed to make more episodes of the hit show.
The newspaper claims that the about turn comes after Simon Cowell had a word in the presenterâs ear.
The music guru has said that the loss of TV Burp â and its audience of up to seven million â could have a knock-on effect on other Saturday night shows like The X Factor.
TV Burp brought in more middle-class, high-earning viewers than any other ITV show – in 2011, this made the it worth £20 million in TV advertisements.
Cowell and Hill are are already collaborating on an upcoming X Factor musical but last month, it was reported that Hill was to jump to Channel 4 in a £2million deal that included the chance to make a full-length movie.
So will it be ITV or Channel 4? There’s only one way to decide…FIGHT!
