Prince William went and opened a can of worms when he proposed to Kate Middleton. After weeks of having to endure endless media coverage dragging out every single detail of Kateâs ârags to richesâ story (her millionaire parents are so proud), thereâs now the prospect of a Hollywood dramatisation to deal with. Oh dearâ¦
Today it was announced that Camilla Luddington – a British actress who has previously had small roles in US shows such as CSI and Days Of Our Lives – will star as Kate in the film for American TV network Lifetime.
According to the movie synopsis: âThe film chronicles the history of William and Kate – from the moment the two students met at Scotland’s prestigious University of St Andrews, through the ups and downs of their nine-year courtship complicated by social and Royal Family pressures, and intense global media attention surrounding their storybook nuptials.â?
Meanwhile, New Zealand-born actor Nico Evers has been cast to play an albeit more chiselled prince William, while Star Trekâ s Ben Cross is rumoured to be Charles.
The film is to be broadcast in the lead-up to the royal wedding in April.
