A revival of Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer’s Big Night Out has been given a full series before this year’s special Christmas has even aired.
An episode of Big Night Out, the first since the original Vic Reeves Big Night Out ended in 1991 on Channel 4, is due to be aired on 29th December on BBC Two in honour to celebrate the duo’s 25 years on the BBC. However, BBC Four have commissioned a four-part series to go out next year.
In a press statement Reeves said: “It’s playtime again. All these years on and we can still both do the splits. We can not be stopped.”
Mortimer meanwhile says: “We are so chuffed and excited to be given the chance to re-invent the Big Night Out so long after it all began. We shall make it as joyous and surprising as it was all those years ago.”
The new episode of Big Night Out features songs, sketches, and return of both Novelty Island and an old nemesis.
