Rachel Weisz is tipped to play the part of witch Evanora in the prequel Oz: The Great and Powerful.
The film will be a sort-of prequel to The Wizard Of Oz, and has everybody asking why Hollywood executives haven’t come up with the amazing idea of a prequel to an existing film before.
Sam Raimi will direct with James Franco playing a salesman who ends up carried away to Oz when his balloon is caught in a tornado.
Mila Kunis is set to play Theadora, a witch trying to do the right thing whilst Weisz’s Evadora tries to lead her to the path of evil.
Shooting of the David Lindsay-Abaire penned script is due to start in July.
