X Factor Final To Take Place At Wembley

Simon Cowell has confirmed that this year’s UK X Factor final will take place at 12,500 seater Wembley Arena and not the TV studio which had space for just 300 fans.

The move will make it one of the biggest talent shows ever, dwarfing the final of American Idol which is held at a 7,000-seat theatre in Los Angeles. Cowell has also promised to be there on the weekend of December 10th & 11th despite his commitments in America.

This announcement will also come as a relief to many X Factor fans after rumours that this year’s final would actually take place in 2012 as the UK version was moulded around its American counterpart.

“There may have been some concerns about the change in the judging panel, but viewers will forget all of that when they see the new-look show and final,” an insider told The Sun.

“We are very excited about making it bigger and better – with a bigger venue, bigger-name guests and more audience members and celebrities than ever before.”
