Despite scoring fewer ratings this year, The X Factor’s stock has gone up in another form. Google has released figures of its most searched terms, with the talent show being named the most searched for TV show in the UK this year.
Even after Strictly Come Dancing ended up victorious in the ratings war, it was nowhere to be found on this particular list. Online interest in Barlow and co may simply be a result of the invasion of red-top coverage of course, with people searching for gossip relating to the judges rather than the contestants.
Other rising names include X Factor USA and the Apprentice. Twi-hard fans ensured that Breaking Dawn topped the poll as the most searched for movie title.
