Zoe Saldana (Avatar, Star Trek) is currently in negotiations to star alongside Mark Ruffalo (Zodiac, Shutter Island) in JJ Abrams’ upcoming Infinitely Polar Bear, Vulture reports. Abrams, who needs no introduction, signed on to produce the project back in October with screenwriter Maya Forbes (Monsters vs Aliens) making her first foray into directing.
Infinitely Polar Bear is about a bi-polar father and husband (Ruffalo) who opts to stop taking his mood stabilising medication, which unsurprisingly leads to the loss of his job. His wife (Saldana) is then forced to go back to work and subsequently decides to ditch her (temporarily) insane husband, leaving him to look after their kids. It’s being described as “the dramatic version of Mr Mom”.
