In this documentary Brenda Emmanus highlights artists of African and Asian descent. With a new exhibition at the Manchester Art Gallery she follows Sonia Boyce and her team who have been spending three years looking through public art archives, and learn that while the nation owns nearly 2,000 pieces by such artists, many are not displaced. They attempt to give some of these pieces a public display for the first time. Whoever Heard if a Black Artist? is on BBC Four at 21.00.
