Join comedians Dara O'Brien and Ed Byrne along the final stretch of their epic pan-American journey with a journey from Costa Rica to Panama. Last week we saw the two entertainers visit Guatemala and Lake Atitlan, before learning first-hand about the dangers of gang violence in many South-American states. After climbing the Antigua's Pacaya volcano, Dara and Ed travelled through El Salvador and Honduras before they arrive in Nicaragua. This week, we see Dara and Ed travel south through the mountains of Costa Rica to Panama, adopting the ways of sabaneros or Costa Rican cowboys on their way. From there, the pair visits the Centro de Rescate Las Pumas animal rehabilitation centre, where they meet orphaned anteaters and jaguars whose territories have been disrupted by the building of the road before passing through the country's capital San Jose on election day. After making their way through San Jose, Dara and Ed drive on through former banana plantations to the capital Panama City, and its famous canal before finally capping off their journey with a boat trip to the final town on the map; Yaviza. Dara and Ed's Great Big Adventure - Thursday 11:15pm on BBC 2.
