Jude Law stars in this highly anticipated drama on Sky Atlantic. There has already been plenty of press about it, and much has been made about the work of the director Paolo Sorrentino, who past work has seen him win the Oscar for “Best Foreign Language Film” for The Great Beauty. Law plays Lenny Belardo, a young man who is elected to become Pope, the first one to come from the United States. Now as Pius XIII has to come to terms with his new powers and responsibility. He is guided by Sister Mary (Diane Keaton), a nun who help raise him. Much has already made about the visuals of the show, including the introduction which sees Law crawling through a pile of babies. While it has the hallmarks of becoming a potential hit, the proof will be in the viewing. The Young Pope is on Sky Atlantic at 21.00 tonight.
