The first details of the next series of Steve Pemberton and Reece Shearsmith\u2019s comic anthology series Inside No. 9 have been revealed. A preview image has shown that one episode will be in a changing room of a football ground, with David Morrissey playing a referee and Ralf Little a linesman. Pemberton and Shearsmith appear to be the other assistant referees. Other guest stars announced include Jenna Coleman, Phil Davis, Tom Goodman-Hill, Jill Halfpenny, Ioanna Kimbook, Kadiff Kirwan, Dipo Ola, Maxine Peake, Debbie Rush, Steve Speirs and Fionn Whitehead. Shearsmith and Pemberton have said: \u201cWe\u2019re delighted to announce a guest cast brimming with both emerging and established talent, all judiciously chosen to make us look a bit classier by association.\u201d Pemberton will also be directing one of the episodes, having previously directed the episodes \u201cCold Comfort\u201d and \u201cNana\u2019s Party\u201d. Three of the six episodes will be directed by Guillem Morales and the other two by Matt Lipsey. Inside No. 9\u2019s new series comes in the aftermath of winning more awards. The series was named \u201cComedy of the Year\u201d and \u201cBest Comedy Drama\u201d in the 2018 Comedy.co.uk Awards, following on from winning both prizes the year before, and thus becoming the first series to win both awards in successive years.
