Dwayne Johnson leads an all-star cast in this charming reboot of Joe Johnston's 1995 classic, Jumanji. Joining Johnson as the film's four protagonists are Jack Black, Karen Gillan and Kevin Hart while elsewhere Nick Jonas, Bobby Cannavale and Rhys Darby all feature. Set in the modern day, the film tweaks some key aspects of the story to cater for a more modern audience - the biggest of which being that the infamous board game is transformed into a retro arcade machine. After a series of respective misgivings in school, four teenagers - Spencer, "Fridge", Bethany and Martha - find themselves in detention. Whilst helping to clear out the school basement as part of their punishment, the four teenagers are transported in the mystical fictional world of Jumanji after they set up the game on an old fashioned arcade machine that they find, with each of them taking on the physique and appearance of their respective characters. The four kids, now endowed with the skill sets of their chosen avatars, are forced to complete a series of obstacles and challenges as they progress through the game if they ever want to see the real world again. But things aren't as simple as they seem as the team must battle the game's antagonist Russell Van Pelt while balancing their three in-game lives - losing all three of which will spell death in the real world for the respective player. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle - Friday 8:00pm on Sky Premiere.
