Icelandic series Case (known in its native language as Réttur) is the latest Nordic noir import to grace our screens – although it will be only brief as Channel 4 are only showing the first episode on TV, with the rest only going out on All4. The series follows attorney Logi Traustason (Magnus Jonnson), who solves cases for a law firm. He joins the firm following his own share of hardship, having previously been jailed for a crime he didn’t commit, his own law practice going bankrupt, his alcoholism and his womanising. The opening episode see him deal with the case of a promising ballerina being hanged, which most rule as suicide, but could there be more to this? Case is on Channel 4 at 22.00.
