It's finals week for this year's final four hopeful amateur cooks and tonight they face their toughest test so far which will see one aspiring chef fall at the final hurdle. Series stalwarts John Torode and Gregg Wallace are joined tonight by the imposing figure of internationally renowned celebrity-chef Raymond Blanc and the executive chef of Blanc's Belmond Le Manoir Aux Quat'saison restaurant, Gary Jones, who put the remaining finalists through the ringer in a cooking challenge which tasks them with perfectly recreating one of Raymond's own dishes. Our four finalists this year - Delia, Geoff, Irini and Jilly - are on the final stretch of their MasterChef journey with tomorrow's final only two dishes away. This evening, the chefs get a master class from the world-renowned Raymond Blanc before they'll be asked to serve a perfect recreation of one of his signature dishes to the culinary maestro himself. From then on, they'll have one more chance to impress tonight's judges with an invention test which showcases their growing cooking talent, but only three of the remaining four will be able to progress. MasterChef: The Finals - Thursday 9:00pm on BBC One.
