Not bad for a sequel and if tonight's FA Cup replays don't appeal to you, this is as good a way as any to while away two hours. Chris Hemsworth is the (all-muscle-no-brain eye candy for a female audience) gruff, brooding titular hero battling to ensure the magic mirror stays out of the clutches of a wicked witch. Sounds familiar and it is, but it remains good fun. All the best fairy tale ingredients can be found here; the feuding sisters (one good, one not so good, in fact, she's a bitch), mythical creatures, goblins, battles and of course true love. It's an entertaining romp and there is more humour on show here than in its predecessor Snow White and the Huntsman with Hemsworth's roguish character loosening up to indulge in some flirtation in his scenes with Emily Blunt and Jessica Chastain. So kick off the slippers, get a cup of tea and the biscuit barrel and lie back for a couple of hours of pure escapism and look forward to the happy ever after ending. The Huntsman: Winter's War - Wednesday 8.00pm on Sky Movies Premiere.
