Michael Fassbender, Katherine Waterston, Billy Crudup, Danny McBride and Demián Bichir star in director Ridley Scott’s sci-fi horror, which continues the narrative started in Prometheus (2012). It’s 2104 and the spaceship Covenant is on its way to Origae-6 with 2000 colonists, 1140 embryos and 14 crew members aboard. While they slumber in hibernation, the android Walter (Fassbender) keeps things ticking over. When a neutrino burst hits the ship, Walter revives the crew to help fix the damage. Before they return to hibernation, the crew receive a human-sounding message from a nearby planet and go to investigate. They find an Earth-like environment that’s so perfect for human life that it seems too good to be true. And it is. Inside a massive spaceship that crashed up in the mountains they find a dog tag belonging to a crew member of the Prometheus, which went missing 10 years earlier. They also encounter an even deadlier threat than anything those unfortunate souls had to contend with.
