Dylan O’Brien, Michael Keaton and Sanaa Lathan star in Michael Cuesta’s action-thriller. It’s a tragic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time: immediately after Mitch Rapp’s (O’Brien) girlfriend Katrina (Charlotte Vega) accepts his wedding proposal during an idyllic European beach holiday, they and many others are gunned down by terrorists. Mitch survives, but Katrina doesn’t. His response is to become super-fit, train hard in armed and unarmed combat, learn Arabic, join a jihadi cell and travel to Libya to meet the terrorist leader Adnan Al-Mansur (Shahid Ahmed). Unknown to Rapp, the CIA have tracked him for months. They storm the meeting, kill the terrorists and capture Rapp. Now he’s a CIA prisoner in the States. Deputy Director Irene Kennedy (Lathan) believes Rapp can be weaponised and used for US black ops. But his new trainer, former Navy SEAL Stan Hurley (Keaton), isn’t so sure. With David Suchet.
