Britain’s toughest patisserie competition continues with Liam Charles and Stacey Solomon welcoming back the five teams from last week. The pressure and difficulty of the challenges is ramping up with every week that the teams stay in the competition. World-class patisserie chefs Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden will be judging the teams’ creations. This week, the teams will need to take all their patisserie skill and spin it on its head by creating 24 perfect savoury slices, and they’ll also need to execute razor-sharp precision as they make 24 layered crepe cakes. They must do all of this in just three-and-a-half hours. In the second challenge, the teams must make 160 choux buns to create a Greatest Sporting Moments themed pièce montée – and they only have five hours to do so. If the teams can make it to the finish line under the watchful gaze of Benoit and Cherish, then they may be able to make it through to the next round. The team that falls behind the pack at this hurdle will unfortunately be leaving the competition.
