Liam Charles and Tom Allen host the toughest Bake Off on TV, as teams from top hotels, restaurants and small businesses compete to be crowned best patisserie team in Britain. The teams face testing challenges judged by world-class patisserie experts Benoit Blin and Cherish Finden. It’s the semi-final of Britain’s tantalisingly tough patisserie competition, and the four remaining teams must summon up all they can to make it through to the final. For their first challenge, the teams must face their old nemesis – the secret recipe challenge. While it may seem simple, it’s anything but and teamwork will be tested more than ever before. For their second challenge, the teams have five hours to create a magical Charlotte Russe display, while at the same time preparing all of the elements needed to perform a spectacular, A World of Magic-inspired piece of gourmet theatre, known as live plating. At the end of the challenge, the teams have just three minutes to transform their table into a gastronomic work of illusion and theatre, under the tough gaze of judges Benoit and Cherish. Which teams will rise to the challenge and go through to the grand final, and whose patisserie journey has come to an end?
