Carry on Cleo (1964) is number 10 of the 31 Carry On films released. These low-budget British comedies, all produced by Peter Rogers and directed by Gerald Thomas, had regular cast members and often used innuendo for the humour.
The Carry On film series were a staple of British cinema for twenty years from 1958 to 1978. The final film in the series, Carry on Columbus, was released in 1992.
A spoof of 1963s Cleopatra, many of the props and costumes from the film were also used in this production!
Carry on Cleo is certainly one of the funniest films in the series, and a perfect example of just how great the Carry On films could be.
