Carlos López Estrada directs this comedy-drama film about a close friendship being tested by outside forces. Collin Hoskins (Daveed Daniele Diggs) is working to finish his last three days of probation until he is free, and his short-tempered best friend Miles Turner (Rafael Casal) works with him at a moving company in California.

When waiting for a red light one night, Collin witnesses a white cop kill a black suspect, who is fleeing, and at the same time, Miles begins to militantly campaign against his neighbourhood’s gentrification.

This leads to Miles buying a gun, something that Collin cannot abide by, for the sake of his probation and the safety of their children, as well as his own life as a black man.

Collin must choose between loyalty to his friend and committing to doing the right thing. The film captures the reality of American race, class and the narrowing of options for those who need a way out.
