Bawdy comedy starring Renée Zellweger as Helen Fielding’s titular heroine, Bridget, the car crash singleton with a fondness for Pinot Grigio, married men and big knickers.
Bridget (Zellweger) has pushed on with her career and balances life as a successful TV news producer with undignified episodes of drunkenness while partying with much younger colleagues, including Sarah Solemani. It looks like things are looking up on the romantic front, but after a pair of one-night stands and the use of some dodgy, dolphin-friendly condoms she winds up pregnant. Is the father US dating guru Jack (Patrick Dempsey) or old flame Mark Darcy (Colin Firth)?
Original director Sharon Maguire is back calling the shots, while Emma Thompson single-handedly justifies the film’s existence as Bridget’s gloriously no-nonsense doctor.
Bridget Jones’s Baby from Friday on Sky Cinema Premiere and Sky Cinema on demand.
