This 2017 biographical film has become an instant classic with audiences, and a tearjerker for many. We meet the aspiring writer and storyteller AA Milne, played by Domnhall Gleeson, and his son, Christopher Robin, who would inspire one of literature’s best-loved worlds.

After the First World War, Milne is left traumatised from the Somme. Returning home to a peaceful world is a culture shock for him, so he moves with wife Daphne (Margot Robbie) to the countryside to get away.

Their son is born, and the 8-year-old Christopher Robin (played by Will Tilson) inspires many Winnie the Pooh adventures as they spend time together in the woods and fields. We see the family grow and struggle together, as Christopher Robin ages he is played by Alex Lawther, and we see the toll that time takes on us – and why it makes every moment count.
