Go beyond the fairy tale once again in this follow up to 2014’s smash hit retelling of the Sleeping Beauty story – Maleficent: Mistress of Evil comes to screen this week on Sky Premiere. Angelina Jolie and Ellie Fanning are joined by franchise-newcomers Ed Skrein and Michelle Pfieffer.
The years have been kind to fairy Maleficent and goddaughter Aurora. Their relationship, born of heartbreak, revenge and ultimately love, has flourished despite the hatred between man and the fairies still raging on. As Aurora prepares to wed Prince Phillip in a wedding that should unite the two worlds, an unexpected encounter forces the two onto opposite sides of a looming war – testing their loyalties and leading them to question if they can truly ever be family.
