Jonathan Frakes directs this second instalment in The Next Generation movie series, with Patrick Stewart as Captain Jean-Luc Picard and the crew of the Enterprise. 

They are on a mission to observe and study the peaceful Ba’ku civilisation who have disregarded all advanced technology to practice a simpler agrarian existence. For this they are blessed by their planet, which gives them eternal youth.

The dreaded and jealous Son’a people covet the Ba’ku’s longevity and happiness and so make a secret plan to overtake the planet and steal the lifestyle of the Ba’ku. Only Picard and his crew have the knowledge and ability to thwart this existential threat. Frakes also stars as the Commander William T Riker.
