A fast-paced and exhilarating Martin Scorsese spectacle. The Wolf of Wall Street starring Leonardo DiCaprio follows the true story of stockbroker Jordan Belfort and his rise from the depths of unemployment to the high life of a multimillionaire in the 1990s by manipulating the markets and defrauding investors in a boiler-room scam.
After landing a job on Wall Street it doesn’t take long before Belfort is hooked on the broker lifestyle, working at a million miles an hour fueled by drugs, money and sex – his talent and aggression to succeed soon earns him a small fortune.
Starting his own company with budding side kick Donnie Azoff (Jonah Hill), the money hungry pair soon find themselves with a staff of more than 250 – having started with just 20, and with the money is rolling in, they allow their notorious lifestyles of cocaine and prostitutes to take over.
As Belfort’s millions and reckless reputation lands him the front cover of Forbes Magazine, with it comes the attention of the FBI. When his indiscretions become too complex to cover up, cracks starts to show, just as the FBI are looking for a way in.
